Beefy guitar riffs, gruff yet understandable vocal growls, pounding drums, and blasphemous lyrics.... This is ENTOMBED. Since their inception in 1987, their sound has evolved from their original death metal to a more melodic style sometimes referred to as "death and roll”. From fast paced death and roll to slower, doomy dirges, Entombed hits on all cylinders: The songs are gritty and aggressive, but catchy as hell. The Swedish veterans are amazing live performers and it’s always cool watching vocalist LG Petrov picking his nose and playing with his snot on stage.
