Germany’s ASCENSION is a spit in the face to all those who claim that quality black metal has died long ago. Featuring members of Katharsis, ASCENSION is one of those bands that restore faith into this seemingly defunct orthodox black metal genre. Their music is made of traditional heavy riffs being blended with bitter leads and melodies and creating a haunting atmosphere.
