DJERV appeared on the radar early 2010. The Norwegian trio explores the borderlines between rock, metal and on some tracks there are obvious black metal references. The overall sound is stripped down, groove-oriented and melodic, yet it has those cold black metal-influenced riffs accompanying the dark moods of the music. It’s filled with great hook lines and catchy rock-metal songs for people who like catchy rock-metal songs. Yet wrapped in a black metal veil, genres melt together as never before these days, and so seems to be the case with DJERV as well. Dangerously catchy.
